I am planning to ride the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route in 2018. Next year it will start in Jasper and finish at the Mexican border – about 4500 km’s. I plan to start in July and finish by end of October. https://www.adventurecycling.org/routes-and-maps/adventure-cycling-route-network/great-divide-mountain-bike-route/?gclid=Cj0KEQiA-f3CBRCbluKf4vu008kBEiQAl-iGq1j3kAUmBO3nIm1nI1eR4EYbj2iHlKET1z4Sbo4cagoaApq48P8HAQ
I purchased a Fargo bike this year and moved the Rohloff internal hub over to it. It is complete with a Gebla box that integrates with the Sram shifter leavers. The guys at Beaufort Cycles (http://beaufortcycles.ca/) were really helpful as this became a bit of a project. Ryan and Dylan are two of the best mechanics you will find anywhere.
I also have a Shutter Precision dynamo hub, which I use for lighting and in combination with a Sinewave Revolution charger (https://www.sinewavecycles.com/), I can charge a battery pack to recharge my Garmin bike computer and a smartphone.
If anyone is interested in joining for me for part or all of the tour, contact me below.
